Bentley appoints Moody attorney Corey B. Moore as Shelby County’s newest judge
Gov. Robert Bentley has appointed attorney Corey B. Moore to replace Shelby County Circuit Judge Hub Harrington on the bench effectively immediately.
Moore was one of three attorneys whose names the governor received from the Shelby County Judicial Commission on Feb. 10. The other nominees included Aubrey “Jay” Holloway and Patrick E. Kennedy.
Bentley’s spokeswoman Jennifer Ardis in an e-mail this morning said Bentley made the appointment Tuesday.
Moore is a shareholder and partner with Weathington, Moore & Weisskopf, according to the Moody law firm’s website. He has also served as city prosecutor for Moody and attorney for the City of Vincent.
